The cemetery at Union was deeded purportedly by John Dorsett Deaton or possibly William Harrison Deaton, as a place for the dead. The earliest identified grave belongs to Moses Lott whose grave, marked with a rock, states: 'born 1804 died 1866'. The original deeds have been lost and were evidently never filed. Deaton descendants issued new deeds to the church property in December 1956 which were filed with the Hall County clerk on January 21, 1957. This deed is for roughly 4.6 acres. Additional space (1.82 acres) was gifted to the church to enlarge the cemetery grounds by Mr. Loyd Strickland, community business leader and friend of the church, in 1980.
A map and directory of the cemetery is located in the church office along with a photo album of all existing grave sites.
